Google Suggest
Who recently searched something on google.com has probably noticed already: Google Suggest is live. Already as you type a search term, proposals for the concept (and number of sites on the subject) will be displayed.
The Google suggest feature gives you suggestions while entering the search term, which word could be meant. These proposals cover the most searched terms. They are supplied with each entry of a further letter updated. Looking e.g. for the word "football", after entering the "F" first, the word "family" is displayed, the most common search term with "F". After entering the "U" "family" disappears and will be replaced by other terms, which start with "FU". Google suggest works as a complement system. This allows the shortening the input of long words.
Disadvantage of the program is that some words are not acceptable and therefore a search for these terms is impossible. Examples include terms with erotic background. Also we are the users through the Google suggest to call pages which he otherwise would have ignored. A certain degree of manipulation by Google is (at least theoretically) possible.
