Google Bowling

If we talk about Google bowling, we mean the “bowling-out” of the potential competitors. There are some methods, which might get the website out of the index of the search engine or gets a worse positioning. The aim is that that certain website won’t be shown anymore, or it will be shown at the end of the search results. Google denies that such methods exist to affect the ranking. Suitable algorithms, which calculate the ranking, try to find and to avoid such methods. However, these methods cannot be forbidden at all. E.g. a keyword might come up in many links with the same link text. This can lead to a worse position of the original website. A commercial provider might get serious economic damage. This action violates the guidelines of the search engine, too, and it leads to a deletion from the index.
